Traditional Mooltan Blue Pottery Plate (large motif)

30.00

This plate displays a traditional floral motif found at the shrine of Shah Rukhn-e-Alam in the ancient city of Multan. It can be used in the kitchen, or as a decorative plate for display.

This plate was crafted by 31 year old blue pottery maker Javed Aslam in South Punjab. His father was a blue potter who passed on his craft to his son. Javed and other blue pottery makers like him are facing major obstacles today, including a lack of gas in the winter months. Ralli has placed orders with blue pottery makers in the region that we will start receiving in March.
